made numerous radio appearances extolling the virtues of good cooking and
authentic Greek Cuisine. The Restaurant was featured on the 'Tonight' programme
on Yorkshire & Tyne Region'. One million viewers saw us cooking,
celebrating, dancing and breaking a few plates for good measure. George Psarias,
the owner, gave cooking demonstrations at the Daily Mail Ideal Home Exhibition
on the 3rd and 4th April 1997. This event was broadcast in Cyprus and Greece.
Oliver the famous Yorkshire Evening Post critic reviewed the Olive Tree on
Wednesday 30 April 1997 under the Headline "Gorgeous
Greek". The
report was complimentary and we the management and staff are 'chuffed' by the
critical review. We assure you that complacency will not set in and we will live
up to the praise.
